Easter eggs by Kerman and Adrian.




Ingredients

250g marzipan

125g icing sugar


2 tablespoons  hot water

 Hundreds and thousands cocktail.sticks





Method:


First,shape the marzipan into sixteen eggs.

Next,sift the icing sugar into a bowl.Add water to make a smoth paste.

Later,with the cocktail sticks,dip the eggs into the icing sugar.

Finally,roll in the hundred and thousand.Leave for 30 minutes.


Mmmmmmmm delicious!!!

Lebkuchen Spycy Greman biscuit By María

     Lebkuchen Spycy Greman biscuit 


Ingredients



1egg

4 tablespoons clear honey
55g butter or margarine
55g soft brown sugar
225g plain flour teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
30g cocoa powder
1 teaspoon mixed spice 
85g icing sugar 
1 tablespoon lemon juice
food colouring (optional)
icing bag or a cone of greaseproof paper


                 METHOD



First, grease a baking sheet with butter. Separate the egg. Put the yolk into a bowl. You  don´t need the egg.

Then, turn on the oven. Put the honey, butter and sugar in a pan over a low heat. Stir them until the butter has melted.


Next, sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, ginger and mixed spice into a mixing bowl. Add the egg yolk.


After, mix the melted butter, honey and sugar into the flour. Squeeze the mixture into a ball of dough with your hands.


Later, sprinkle some flour onto a clean worktop and onto a rolling pin. Roll out the dough until it is 1/2cm thick.


After, use cookie cutters or a knife to cut out different shapes. Roll out the leftover dough and cut out more shapes.


Then, use a spatula to lift the biscuits onto the baking sheet. Make a hole at the top of each biscuit with a skewer.


Next, bake the biscuits until golden. Then, leave them to cool.


Meanwhile, sift the icing sugar into a bowl. mix in the tablespoon of lemon juice, keep stirring.


Later, spoon some of the icing into a  bowl. You can mix in a few drops of  food colouring if you want.


Finally, spoon the icing into an icing bag. Pipe on the icing slowly by squeezing the bag.

Toffee apples by Nerea

                                    Ingredients
                      
                            Toffee apples for  8 people.

1.- 8 red apples.
2.- 8 sticks.
3.- 450g sugar.
4.- Juice of 1 lemon.
5.- 8 tablespoons water.
6.- Greaseproof paper 
   

                                                Method


First, heat the sugar, lemon, water gently until dissolved.

Next, when the sugar is dissolved, boil for eight minutes.

Later, dip the apples into the toffee. Then, put them on greaseproof paper to harden.

Finally, the toffee apples are ready fory our Halloween party.

4 slices of bread
one tomato, sliced
mayonnaise

Method

First, fry the bacon in a frying pan.
Then, toast the bread.
After, put mayonnaise on the bread.
Next ,add the bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Finally, cut the sandwich diagonally

Ice-cream sundae by Mia

Ingredients:



50 grammes strawberries
3 scoops strawberry ice-cream
stawberry syrup
whipped cream
sprinkles
  
Method:

First, wash and slice the strawberries.
Next, put layers of strawberries and ice-cream in a glass.
Later, pour on some strawberry syrup.
Finaly,put the whipped cream and sprinkles on top.

 
 




Tacos by Iñigo

Ingredients:

1Medium onion
1Clove of garlic a small  lettuce
4 Tomatoes
2Tablespoons vegetable oil
8Taco shells
450g/1 lb minced beef
1teaspoon cinnamon, a pinch mild chilli pepper, a pinch salt and black pepper sour cream. 

Method:

First, peel and chop the onion,peel and crush the garlic.
Then, cook the onion and garlic.
After, add the meat to the pan.
Next, add the cinnamon, chilli pepper, salt and pepper.
Larter, put them in the oven for three minutes.
Finaly, spoon some of the meat into each taco and add lettuce, tomato and a tablespoons of cream on top.

Strawberry shortcake by Sara

                             STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE


INGREDIENTS:

- 225g self-rasing flour.
- 1 teaspoon baking powder.
- 50g butter or margarine.
- 25g caster sugar.
- 1 medium egg.
- 5 tablespoon milk.
- Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
- Extra milk, for brushing.
- 225g (8oz) strawberries.
- 150ml (1/4 pint) double or whipping cream.
- 3 tablespoon Greek yoghurt.
- Icing sugar.

METHOD:


First, sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl.

Then, add the butter cubes to the flour. Rub them in with the tips of your fingers.

After, stir in the caster sugar and make a hollow in the middle of the mixture with a spoon. Then, break the egg into a mug and stir it with a fork, to mix the white and yolk.

Next, stir the milk and vanilla into the egg, then pour the mixture into the hollow in the flour. Mix all the ingredients.

Later, shape the dough into a ball.

After that, roll out the dough until it is a circle and brush it with a little milk.

Then, bake the shortcake in the oven for 12-15 minutes and cut the strawberries into thick slices. 

When the shortcake is cool, cut it in half.

Lift the top layer onto a chopping board and cut it into eight wedges. Then, pour the cream into a bowl and when it is thick mix the yoghurt.

Later, spread half of the mixture over the bottom half of the shortbread. Then, lay the strwberry slices all over the top of the mixture.

Finally, spread the rest of the cream mixture over the strawberries.

                        DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! 

Sticky chocolate cake by Egoitz

                            STICKY CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

* 150g plain chocolate.


*150ml double cream.


* 200g self - raising flour.


* half a teaspoon of baking powder. 


* 4 tablespoons cocoa powder.


* 4 medium eggs.


* 225g soft margarine.


* 225g light soft brown sugar.


* 1 tablespoon milk.


METHOD:

- FIRST, break the chocolate into pieces. Put the pieces into a bowl and add the cream. Pour water into a saucepan.

- THEN, heat the water. Put the bowl into a the pan and stir the chocolate and cream until the chocolate has melted.


- AFTER, let the icing cool. Put the fridge for at least an hour. Meanwhile, make the cake.


-NEXT, put the tins on some greaseproof paper.

-LATER, put the flour, baking powder and cocoa into a sieve and sift into a large bowl.

-AFTER THAT, break the eggs into a mug. Add them to the large bowl, add the margarine., sugar and milk . Stir everything well, spoon the mixture into  tins and smooth the tops.

-THEN, bake the cakes in the oven for about 25 minutes.

-AFTER, leave the cakes in the tins for five minutes.

-FINALLY, spread some of the icing over. The top of the cakes, put the other cake on top. Then, spread the rest of the icing over the outside of the cake.

FRUIT COCKTAIL by Aitor

Ingredients:
  • 300 ml cold tea.
  • 3 capfuls squash.
  • juice of 3 limes.
  • 1 orange.
  • 1 lemon.
  • 1 apple.
  • ice cubes.
  • 300 ml lemonade.
First, pour the cold tea lime juice and orange squash into a jug.
Next, place the jug in the fridge for one hour.
Then, cut the orange, lemon and apple into slices.
Finally, add the fruit to the jug of tea. Pour on the lemonade and ice cubes.

Your fruit cocktail is ready!



 




Chocolate Chips Cookies by Andrea S.



   INGREDIENTS:

-250 g melted butter.
-340 g plain flour.
-150 g white sugar.
-300 g chocolate chips.
-2 eggs.
-2 tbsp milk.
-1 tsp baking soda. 1/2(a half) tsp salt.
-2 tsp vanilla essence.



 METHOD:

First, put the butter in a large bowl and add the sugar.

Add the milk, eggs and vanilla essence and mix.

Later, sift in the flour, add in the salt and baking soda, and mix to a thick dough.

Then, place dollops of dough (about 1 heaped tbsp) onto a cold baking tray. Make sure the dollops are well spaced  to allow it to spread.

Next, bake in the oven at 190ºC (375ºF) for around 8-10 minutes.

Later, remove from the oven and allow to cool for around 5 minutes until the biscuits have hardened a bit, then place on a wire rack  to cool completely.



  TIPS:

Don´t be tempted to overcook the biscuits. Depending upon your oven they may be cooked after 8 minutes, so keep an eye on them!

You can also add pecans walnuts or macadamia nuts into the dough to make nutty choc-chip bikkies.

                             Chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients:

275 grammes flour.

1 teaspoon of baking soda.

1 teaspoon of salt.

250 grammes of butter.

250 grammes of brown sugar.

2 eggs.

1 teaspoon of vanilla.

300 grammes of chocolate chips.

                                           Method:

First,preheat the oven to 180ºC.Grease 2 or 3 baking trays.

Then,mix he flour,the baking soda and the salt.

Now ,mix the butter and the brown sugar.

Add the eggs and the vanilla.The fourth step is adding the flour mixture.Then, add the chocolate chips.

And,finally, put the mixture on the baking tray with a spoon.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

LEMON SHERBET by ALEX O

 INGREDIENTS


1sugar cup
salt
1water cup
1/2 ice cream cup
1/2lemon juice cup
2egg whites











First, mix 3/4 of the cup of sugar,salt and water.Boil it ,then,simmer it for 5 minutes.Put it  in the refrigerator.

After 5 minutes in the refrigerator, add the cream, then the lemon juice.Put it into a plastic container. Freeze it for 4 hours or 5 hours.

Then, beat the egg whites, add 1/4 cup of sugar.Beat the mixture.

Next ,break the frozen mixture with a fork.Mix in the egg whites.

Finally, put the mixture in the freezer for 2 hours.

              HAMBURGER

INGREDIENTS:

400 grammes ground beef, 4 hamburger buns, lettuce, 2 big pickles, 2 tomatoes, ketchup and 1 big spoon oil.

First, make four hamburger steaks with the ground beef.

Next, heat the oil in a frying pan. Cook the steaks 3 minutes on each side.

Then, cut the hamburger buns in two. Toast them. Cut the tomatoes and the pickles.

Finally, make the hamburger with the buns, the tomatoes, the steak, and some the lettuce and ketchup.



                FISH AND CHIPS


INGREDIENTS

4 Fish fillets, 2eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and vegetable oil.


First, put the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Next, beat the eggs in a different bowl.

Then, dip the fish fillets into the eggs. Then dip them into the breadcrumbs.

Finally, heat the vegetable oil. Fry the fish fillets for 10 minutes and serve with chips.

Next, put the puffed rice in chocolate. Stir.

Later, spoon the mixture into paper cases.

Finally, leave them to cool for one hour.

FISH AND CHIPS by Julen


Ingredients:
4 fish ( fillet)
breadrumbs
salt and pepper
2 eggs
vegetable oil

First, put the breadrumbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Later, beat the eggs in a different bowl.

Next, dip the fish fillet into the eggs.Then, dip them into the breadrumbs.

Finally, heat the vegetable oil. Fry the fish fillets for 10 minutes. Serve with chips.
